MINDFULNESS IN SCHOOLS

How much of students' time is spent distracted?

How much richer could their lives and learning be if this were different?

Mindfulness is a training of awareness and attention which addresses this directly.

WHY TEACH MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness is a form of education in metacognition. Metacognition has been identified as a low cost and high impact intervention (Education Endowment Foundation, 2018).

Mindfulness contributes positively to resilience and wellbeing.

I have practised mindfulness since 2009 and taught it to young people since 2014. I previously worked as a mathematics and religious studies teacher, and for four years as a head of year to over 200 students.

I have trained to teach mindfulness for primary and secondary students with the Mindfulness in Schools Project.

Please be in touch if you'd like to find out more.

The rest of my life I believe has been changed for the better immeasurably
